Who We Are
We are a growing Clinical and Child Psychology practice in Horsham. Our team is currently made up of a full-time Practice Manager and two Psychologists. We are expanding due to a huge demand in the region for mental health care support and would love to welcome the right people to come and join our friendly team.
About the Role
We are looking for a registered Psychologist who is passionate about providing great care for children, adolescents, and adults in our community. You can choose to specialise in adult work, child work, couples, or families, depending on your preference.
This role includes supervision and mentoring and would therefore be ideally suited to an early career Psychologist. Provisional Psychologists are also welcome to apply.
We value work-life balance and have a burnout prevention caseload model which includes plenty of scheduled time for writing notes and reports, the ability to buy back additional annual leave, no evening or weekend work (unless preferred), and caseload monitoring to ensure a balance of mild to more difficult presentations.
You will be supported to develop your career in directions you are passionate about and to build a caseload that reflects your particular interests.
Funding for up to $5000 per annum for professional development can be applied for through the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria, and we also provide financial support for your professional development.

Our salary for an early career, registered Psychologist is $100,000 including super.We have a great range of resources including a fully resourced play therapy space and a comprehensive test library, including the WISC, WIAT, WAIS, WRAT, Children's Memory Scale, TEA-Ch, ADOS, NEPSY-II, and many more.You will have the freedom to pursue your own areas of interest and build a caseload that reflects this.Access to up to $5,000 PD budget.Potential for relocation and retention package through Rural Workforce Victoria.Registrar Program and Supervision
For those seeking Clinical Endorsement, we provide all the opportunities and support to complete the Clinical Psychology Registrar program. The registrar program includes intensive supervision covering multiple areas including working across the lifespan and helping grow your clinical frameworks.
You would be supervised by the director/principal Psychologist, Dr. Catherine de Vaus, who is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor. Catherine has worked in the public and private sector for over 20 years, including at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, and the Albert Road Clinic in Melbourne.
Necessary Criteria
We are looking for someone who:
Is eligible for registration with AHPRA as a registered psychologist (provisional psychologists considered for the right person). We'd also love to hear from you if you are an OT or social worker who specialises in mental health.Has good differential diagnostic skills and can put together a comprehensive case formulation.Is able to liaise with community providers and referrers.Is able to work independently.Enjoys developing professional skills and learning.Has excellent written and oral communication skills.Is eligible for Medicare rebates.Has a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children's Check.Is excited by the idea of joining a small practice and helping it grow and evolve to meet the demand of the region.Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency.*The position includes support and supervision from a Board Approved Supervisor and new graduates are welcome to apply.
