Provide high quality clinical Psychology services to children under 12 years of age across the Gold Coast who are experiencing issues related to mental health and wellbeing utilising a child centred and family focused approach to optimise psychosocial outcomes for consumers, their families and carers.
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist (Head to Health Kids) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Provide an efficient and responsive mental health Psychology service within identified models of care and in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health standardsUtilise knowledge of Psychology theories and frameworks in the delivery of clinical psychology services to children under 12 years, including assessment, diagnosis and treatmentApply professional judgement to facilitate effective clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence across multiple clinical areasProvide clinical practice and operational supervision to students and less experienced staffAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in PsychologyAHPRA RegistrationDriver LicenceEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Base salary ranging from $76 747 - $112 805 per annumAbout Us Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services is a part of the Mental Health and Specialist Services Division. Health Kids-Queensland Gold Coast (H2HK-Q Gold Coast) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty service within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services that delivers child centred and family focused services driven by a strength focused culture in line with the Whole Child Approach. H2HK-Q Gold Coast will provide a seamless service for children under 12 years experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties that effectively integrates primary, secondary, and tertiary services by working in partnership across all sectors.
