It is an innovative service and we will be working with Autism services to tailor assessments to the needs of older adults.
This position will support stakeholder engagement and reporting to ensure financial and key performance indicators are achieved.
Optimise service activity, quality targets, reporting, researchReview team processes, policies, proceduresSupport staff professional development and facilitate supervisionDay to day support of OPALS functioning and managementDevelop relationships with key stakeholders in health, research, education and within the community to promote best practice service delivery and patient careFacilitate progress reports for Service Manager and funding bodyClassifications for this position will range from Psychologist Grade 3 PL1 - PL4 ($106,158 - $121,477 per annum pro rata)

Older adults frequently have complex co-morbidities and limited resources available to them.
Complications associated with cognitive change, sensory impairment, medical comorbidities and psychosocial stressors lead to older adults with undiagnosed autism and their caregivers extra challenges adapting to change in later life.
Specialist assessment will ensure the specific needs of older adults with autism are addressed to enhance care for consumers and their carers.
The service is part time, will comprise a mental health clinician clinic coordinator, consultant psychiatrist and mental health clinician to provide a specialist outpatient autism assessment service for older adults.
There will be capacity for some outreach depending on the needs of consumers, such as those residing in residential aged care facilities from inner east to the east and northern areas of Melbourne.
Improve the integration of primary care and specialist mental health services.
