Psychologist – DBT Group Co Facilitator & General Inpatient/Addictive Behaviours groups– Part-time An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Psychologist to join The Geelong Clinic as a group co-facilitator for the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Day Program for 2 days per week and 1 day per week working with our General/ABP inpatients. These days can be Wednesday/Thursday/Friday or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. The Geelong Clinic is a 73 bed Psychiatric Hospital offering a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions, the clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, administration and domestic services staff. Onsite parking available.
The DBT Group Facilitator role involves co-facilitation of the DBT Skills Group which runs as a full day group program twice weekly. There will also be group planning between modules, and support with your co-facilitator and the Clinical Services Manager. The role may also require you to provide cover across other day program/inpatient group programs at The Geelong Clinic, and you will work in a multidisciplinary team based approach supported by other experienced mental health professionals.
Minimum Requirements:Appropriate qualifications in PsychologyExperience delivering group-based therapeutic interventions in a mental health settingHigh level organisation, communication and collaboration skillsExperience facilitating DBT skills group (highly desirable)Interest and experience in the addictive behaviours sector, including knowledge of detox processes, harm minimization, relapse preventions and new initiativesTo Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application process.
