As a Psychologist, you would be joining one of Australia's most respected charities for veterans, nationally recognised for providing the most progressive, integrated support programs in the country, helping to rebuild and save lives. Offering a holistic approach to veteran health services, specifically through their four service streams of Psychological Services, Physical Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Services, Social Connection Activities and Skills for Recovery Programs.
The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Clinical Lead – Psychological Services, your role as a qualified Psychologist is to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based and informed treatments to clients and their families to address psychological support needs.
Your role is to deliver work of a high standard in line with the charity's key purpose, vision, and values. In this role you will not only manage your own performance but support others through the delivery of psychological services. You will have full autonomy to undertake psychological assessments with clients, at times this will include children, young people, and families.
This opportunity also allows for you to design, evaluate, and implement tailored evidence-based therapies to clients to support positive outcomes for all.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic interventions to clients within scope of practice, leadership, vision, and business accountability. Providing advice as a subject matter expert to Senior Management on areas within role responsibilities and professionally challenge if/when needed to ensure organisational compliance and continued improvement. Responsible to support all cultural change initiatives through word and action and take active accountability for continued improvement and innovation. Identify, establish, and maintain key working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services within scope of role responsibility. Contribute to the development and delivery of the charity's Recovery programs including short term residential programs, along with acting as a subject matter expert in EOI and selection process to determine psychological suitability of a client to undertake programs. Ensure communication with relevant referring agencies and/or clinicians is effective, aligns with best practice and legislative compliance. Provide clinical advice, peer supervision and debriefing to staff, as appropriate. Maintain currency of contemporary practices within professional field. Support in the delivery of relevant psychological services. Liaise with external stakeholders to gain input and promote service where appropriate. Comply with the charity's policies and procedures, and relevant legal and ethical standards, including accountability, ethical practice, duty of care, confidentiality, relevant accreditation standards and workplace health and safety. Active attendance at all meetings, as required, including group and individual clinical supervision lead by the National Clinical Manager and local Family Recovery Centre team led by the Regional Manager. Ensure client records and case notes are kept up to date in line with internal and external requirements. Actively adhere to all requirements to maintain full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA Compliance Maintain all documentation required and ensure compliance to timeframes, client requirements and collaborate with stakeholders for all coordination and implementation processes. Adhere to organisational policies and procedures by attending and completing all training and assessments as required by the organisation, ensuring you adhere to all WH&S responsibilities and procedures as required by the organisation and as directed by supervisors/managers. Experience and Qualifications Essential for success:
Tertiary qualification in Psychology Full registration with AHPRA. Experience in the treatment and management of mental health concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression Ability to develop and implement treatment and recovery plans for individuals and families, as required. Well-developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency, including the ability to use client information management systems. Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate accountability and proficiency in clinical report writing. Open Driver's License Advantageous Direct experience in delivering Psychological or related services to current or ex-serving Defence personnel and their families. Demonstrated clinical skills in delivering evidence-based treatment to people across the lifespan presenting with a wide variety of presentations, along with experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
