Job Title: Grade 3 Psychologist (PL1-PL4) - Children's Pain Management
Hub of medical precinct in Parkville, MelbourneChallenging and rewarding work environmentPermanent, part-time positionAbout the Role This is a Permanent Part Time position at 0.4FTE (30.4 hours - Weds/Thurs) per fortnight within the Children's Pain Management Team.
You will be responsible for providing psychology services with the multidisciplinary team with the primary objective to return patients to their normal level of functioning. You will conduct thorough assessments and develop management plans alongside the pain team, and work collaboratively with the young person and their families towards achieving their goals.
Classification for this position will range from PL1-PL4.
What you'll achieve Upskilling in the multidisciplinary approach to pain managementProvide specialist clinical psychological assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and their families presenting to the Children's Pain Management ClinicEducate RCH staff, students, and members of the community about psychology services provided in the hospital settingYour skills and experience Postgraduate training in Clinical or Health PsychologyRegistration with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) with endorsement in practice of Clinical or Health PsychologyExtensive experience in chronic pain management, mental health, pediatrics or rehabilitationOther requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtainValid Working with Children CheckCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtainCompliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedureApplication process To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
