The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.Department of Health are seeking a Psychologist to join the Family Violence Counselling and Support Services - Child and Young Person Program (CHYPP).Join a passionate, dynamic and supportive team in providing counselling and support to children, young people and their families who have experienced family violence.Please note this position is dual classified and is also being advertised as Psychologist (517844c). Only one position will be filled on merit.The role:Assist children and young people to recover from the effect of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support.Undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models.Undertake psychological assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised assessment methods.Provide therapeutic interventions, case management services and, if necessary, referrals to appropriate agencies.Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group programs and sessions for clients of Children and Young Persons' Program (CHYPP) and Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS).Details of Appointment:Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.Benefits available to eligible candidates:Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees.Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.Working with Children Registration.Current Driver's Licence.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:Registered Psychologist, giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society, with relevant tertiary qualifications and clinical experience in the human services sector.How to Apply:Apply Online.
