Join headspace Early Psychosis, a national leader in early intervention, supporting youth aged 12–25 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or are at high risk of developing psychosis.About the RoleAs a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care as part of a multidisciplinary team.Choose between key roles in the Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (intake and acute care) or the Continuing Care Team (ongoing support for up to five years).Lead clinical decision-making and guide a team of clinicians in providing comprehensive, holistic care.Provide direct care to young people with complex needs and support families in their recovery journey.Supervise and mentor psychiatry registrars as part of their professional development.Collaborate nationally with other headspace Early Psychosis services and Orygen Youth Health to enhance program quality and outcomes.Qualifications:Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.Current Australian Driver's Licence.Experience:You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined. You will be continuing to develop in your area of expertise and be expected to provide innovative ideas to solve problems in your discipline.
