Job Opportunity: Psychiatrist Child Youth & Adolescent (Staff Specialist)

Position Type: Permanent Full-Time (80 hours per fortnight)
We are currently scheduling interviews for a dedicated Psychiatrist Child Youth & Adolescent - Staff Specialist to join busy Mental Health team in Mackay.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children and adolescents.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Offer expert consultation and guidance on complex cases within the team and to external partners.
Leadership & Teamwork: Lead and mentor junior staff, including registrars and allied health professionals.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Contribute to research and academic activities as appropriate.
Community Engagement: Work with local agencies and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and services.
Engage with families and caregivers to support the holistic care of young patients.
Salary & Benefits:
Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) or up to $514,452 (L27), based on experience.
Base salary between $204,206 - $258,910, depending on classification level.
Additional Benefits: 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
17.5% leave loading for 4 weeks leave.

Requirements:
Qualifications: Specialist registration with AHPRA Experience: Demonstrated experience in child, youth, and adolescent psychiatry.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities.
Vaccination: Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements is mandatory.
