An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse to join McLellan House Residential Aged Care at Northern Health.
The position is for a Long Service Leave relieving role for 6 weeks from 24/02/2025 to 06/04/2025, with potential opportunity to transition to a permanent position at the end of the fixed contract.
About McLellan House: McLellan House Residential Aged Care has 32 beds and cares for aged persons with mental illness and/or dementia, predominantly focusing on residents with mental health challenges.
About the Role: The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse will work as part of the McLellan House team under the supervision of a registered psychiatric nurse, supporting residents and their families/carers to achieve good health outcomes.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to:
Work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary teamProvide evidence-based care within your scope of practiceDeliver high-quality nursing care to support our residentsComply with NH mandatory training requirements, including NDIS Worker Orientation and induction modulesReport incidents and provide feedback as per NDIS policy and mandatory reporting timeframesWe take pride in ensuring those in our care are looked after by the best healthcare professionals.
About You: Experience as an enrolled nurse in residential aged care settingsExperience in providing care for mental health consumers in residential settingsPositive team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skillsAble to work rotating roster - AM, PM and ND shiftsNDIS workers screening checkNext Steps...
