$76,147 to $84,727 per annum Effective Salary* $96,163 to $105,903 About the role The Preschool Readiness Program (PRP) Transport and Engagement Officer provides an efficient and safe transport service of Aboriginal preschool children from identified town camps to selected preschools in Alice Springs.
The position provides culturally safe and responsive support to preschool children by ensuring regular family engagement and works in partnership with preschool staff on a daily basis.
What are we looking for?
Someone with the following requirements: Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Central Australian Aboriginal community.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment.
Experience in community work and an awareness of the consultation process relevant to Aboriginal people and a community controlled organisation.
Certificate III in child related studies or community services or willingness to obtain Current NT C Class Drivers Licence.
Ability to work independently, as well as be a contributing member in a multi-disciplinary team, communicate effectively with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, prioritise workload and effective time management.
Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
