Learn more about HNEkidshealth What you'll be doing The Advanced Trainee will participate in the multidisciplinary assessment and management of adolescents and young people who identify as transgender or gender diverse and the co-morbid diagnosis that may occur.
This may include mental health difficulties, common developmental conditions, disordered eating, concerns around sexual health and dealing with high-risk youth.

This position will require a mature and experienced Trainee who has experience with marginalised population groups and who have experienced health inequity within the health system.
The role is designed to encourage professional development as an advanced trainee providing service delivery in a clinical outpatient setting.
The trainee will have the opportunity to provide both paediatric and adolescent clinics under Consultant supervision.
These clinics will run within a multidisciplinary team paediatric and adult model of care.
MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, as an Advanced Trainee or equivalent.Demonstrated experience in Community Paediatrics, Adolescent Medicine or General Paediatric outpatient management including clinics.Awareness and interest in supporting young people who identify as transgender or gender diverse.Commitment to and requirement to complete further training.Demonstrated ability to manage and work with teams to support and optimise their capacity to deliver services.Demonstrated enthusiasm and proven teaching skills.Demonstrated understanding of the social determinants of health and their importance in improving health outcomes for children, young people and their families.
