This role is primarily responsible for technical and administrative activities associated with the workstation replacement (WSR) program in line with guidelines related to technical investigations, lifecycle schedule, and stock management. This role supports the Deployment Coordinator in delivering on replacement activities to meet Queensland Health's approved asset lifecycle processes within a geographical area. This role will be required to engage with customers and handle escalation of technical issues related to the run-up and delivery of devices. The workstation replacement (WSR) program performs the replacement of computing devices to improve performance and reduce interruption to clinical and non-clinical staff working within Queensland Health.
The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service by applying communication skills with an ability to negotiate, advise and work collaboratively with others to reach decisions.
Role responsibilities: Provide timely support to clients by conducting investigation and diagnosis of incidents and providing eHealth incident management processes to ensure agreed Service Levels are maintained. Support the local Deployment Coordinator to manage team members and activities to deliver the WSR program for supported sites. Engage as a member of the team to ensure WSR activities (including WSR stock management of new and replaced devices, run-up, deployment, and installation of devices) are completed as per documented work processes. Ensure asset management integrity is maintained by ensuring work processes are implemented correctly and involvement with regular asset activities as identified. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge, and experience: Demonstrated technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring, and implementation of ICT environments in one or more technical domains. Ability to deliver high quality ICT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks, and working unsupervised. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve ICT related problems within defined Service Level Agreements. Interpersonal skills and personal qualities that facilitate the development of good working relationships, including mentoring of junior staff to enhance the provision of quality client service in a team environment. Developed oral and written communication skills that enable the creation and/or maintenance of system documentation, work instructions, and technical reports for management. Specific Working Conditions: This position works across the Far North area including Cairns, Cape, and Torres, and travel to supported sites is a requirement of the role. It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine-preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16):measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) varicella (chicken pox) pertussis (whooping cough) hepatitis B Participating in on-call arrangements may be a requirement of this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply. Reasonable travel as negotiated may be a requirement of this position.
