Protech are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters (Fixed Plant) to perform work with our client, based at Olympic Dam in Roxby Downs.
This role is part of a program of special measures intended to achieve equality, therefore it is a requirement that the position is held by a female, and the exemption in section 7D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 applies.
Olympic Dam is one of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium.
Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia.
It's made up of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.
These roles are available FIFO (fly in, fly out) from Adelaide, DIDO (Drive in, Drive Out - Towns in close proximity to Roxby Downs) or Residential Roxby Downs where a shuttle bus service is provided.

Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day Provide technical expertise within the team to facilitate planned, unplanned and or breakdown maintenance and preventative shut down maintenance Develop close working relationships with operations personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and remedied promptly Provide continual feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress ABOUT YOU:
Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way Australian recognised Trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels and functions Previous experience working within an operational maintenance environment Ability to operate across multiple work-fronts ensuring you maintain and clean and tidy workplace Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and associated systems and practices HOW TO APPLY:
