Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Proposal Manager at City Collective.
The Proposal Manager will be responsible for proposal preparation, management, and writing, including responding to RFPs.
The role is based in Adelaide, SA, with flexibility for remote work.
The Proposal Manager will also manage and lead all external communication related to proposals, submissions, reports, and digital content.
This role involves preparing tender documents, contributing to social media and marketing efforts, and ensuring high quality, consistent messaging across all materials.
The Proposal Manager will collaborate closely with senior management to support business development and deliver winning proposals.
Skills and Experience Required: Expertise in proposal preparation, management, and writing.Proven experience coordinating proposals and responding to RFPs.Strong organisational and time management abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.Knowledge of urban design and planning is an advantage but not essential.Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end process of responding to new tenders, proposals, and expressions of interest, ensuring full comprehension of submission requirements and maintaining a high standard of content, design, and presentation.Oversee and coordinate internal strategy meetings, including 'go or no go' evaluations, win-strategy workshops, and follow-ups to align efforts and meet deadlines.Develop and refine proposal strategies with leadership, contributing to content creation, editorial accuracy, and ensuring quality across all submissions.Manage and support the pursuits team, overseeing workload, guiding the team, and coordinating resources nationally to deliver high-quality submissions.Monitor tender portals for new opportunities, conduct client and sector research, and collaborate with leadership to develop and align market strategies.Work closely with marketing, social media, and digital marketing teams to build content strategies for public distribution and enhance studio processes, communication, and marketing efforts.Support business development by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and collaborating with directors and senior management on bid responses.The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proficiency in tools like InDesign, and the ability to manage multiple projects while fostering internal collaboration.
They should be eager to take ownership of projects from start to finish, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for celebrating team successes (we love a team that enjoys their work!).
This role requires a professional with experience in bid or submissions management, ideally within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects independently.
