About the role Laing O'Rourke is searching for an experienced Proposal Manager with Defence infrastructure tendering experience to join our Defence sector team. Defence and Infrastructure experience is required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Defence estate policies, systems and infrastructure contracting models. A deep knowledge of tendering requirements with the ability to produce high-quality, compelling, and compliant Defence submissions within tight time frames. We are looking for candidates based in Canberra or who are willing to relocate. The role will require periodic participation and support to other business sectors including road, rail, new energy, water and others.

Key responsibilities Managing major Defence tenders to produce high-quality and compliant submissionsWorking collaboratively with a large team of technical and proposal specialistsReviewing content for completeness and accuracy, and working with Lead Authors and technical and commercial leaders to deliver high quality outputsMeeting tight and competing deadlinesAbout you Experience in Defence infrastructure proposal management and/or writingExcellent writing and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and conciselyEstablished experience in the Defence sector with an understanding of Defence estate policies, systems and processesAn energetic, self starter, keen to learn and develop a superior Defence tendering system and methodsDegree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business or similar field will be beneficialInterested to learn and adopt new technologies to assist in bid management and developmentWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
