Product Manager, Property Search Ongoing PositionFlexible and Hybrid Working ArrangementsLead a groundbreaking project that revolutionises access to data in the property market.Your role Your role will be to manage and support the Property Search initiative which aims to make DBI information more easily accessible, enhance consumer protections for Victorians and optimise VMIA's role in preventing harm in the Victorian community.
Through a competitive tender process, a preferred partner has been selected due to their data commercialisation capability, distribution channels and technology, and data governance, security and privacy capabilities.
VMIA is in the process of implementing the first phase of Property Search to the Conveyancer market segment.  VMIA has validated that there is a larger market opportunity, and a significant number of use cases for DBI data have been identified providing value across several market segments.  More broadly, industry stakeholders have reacted positively to the opportunity to increase transparency across the industry and market, whilst the risks identified were not prohibitive or unmanageable.
Your role reports to the Head of Service Delivery, DBIin the Domestic Building Insurance Division.
What you do  Manage exception queries and create and deliver education (including creating and updating FAQ's) to current and future customers including oversight of marketing insights to improve revenue through growth.Training for conveyancers particularly on the characteristics of the DBI product and it's role within the consumer protection framework.Ensure Hypercare is provided post go live by managing and supporting stakeholders to drive the desired customer experience.Commence to action growth opportunities identified to support and improve the revenue and cost recovery assumptions.Ensure responsibilities and targets set for the preferred partner, in the agreed the Service Level Agreement, are met.Communicate the voice of the customer.Identify new opportunities to improve market adoption and profitability for products in your portfolio.You are our 'go to' Property Search specialist adviser to provide advice for enhancement of our DBI product – Property Search and claims function.Building a long-term relationship with the preferred partner for Property Search and other initiatives as appropriate.Developing the appropriate reports to support understanding of the current sales and determining what should be initiated to increase sales of Property Search.Analysing the sales and revenue information and reporting to DBI management.Determining the direction of Property Search and how the information could be used holistically to prevent/manage harm.You are an active contributor towards the development of new products and the enhancement of existing Property Search offerings, including providing governance support.You actively support and continually improve the business processes, practice standards and protocols to optimise Property Search.You provide leadership, capability uplift and development support to the Policy Administrator who will report to you.Keep abreast of technology and artificial intelligence capabilities to determine capabilities that could improve Property Search or provide new revenue streams.Engage with relevant industry stakeholders to understand market needs and to gather business requirements.Manage the product lifecycle for all products within your portfolio.Lead, coach, and provide direction to the Property Search Product AdministratorWho you work with You report to the Head of Service Delivery, DBI in the Domestic Building Insurance Division and work with members of the Building Assessment and Claims Teams.Supporting the Policy Administrator, especially initially to resolve the historical exceptions.Provide back-up to the Policy Administrator.Provide support to the DBI Program Manager on business innovation to enhance Property Search capability to service our customers.You build relationships across VMIA, are connected to our Senior Leaders in Risk, Insurance, Claims & Business Performance.You build relationships with key Stakeholders within the preferred partner, who are our primary channel to market.About you You have at least 5 years' experience in a product management role where experience managing or leading a start-up operation highly regarded.You understand market segmentation to generate revenue opportunities (desirable)You have strong interpersonal skills, especially a strong communicator, both written and verbal both internally and to external stakeholdersYou can demonstrate having successfully influenced, contributed to, and delivered positive outcomes within multi-disciplinary professional service teams.You have a detailed understanding of the complexities and nuances of public sector management, with the capacity to operate successfully in such an environment.You will utilise your analytical skills to drive product creation and market research.Your leadership skills will ensure your team is highly driven.
