Your Opportunity: This role will suit a lawyer ready to take on more leadership on various transactions spanning large commercial property transactions, development and fund-through agreements. There is currently one Special Counsel and one Senior Associate, both of whom are heavily aligned with two major clients, allowing you to play a key role in team leadership while enjoying the variety of work across the broader institutional and corporate client base.
This opportunity will provide exposure to high-value transactions, working directly with institutional investors, REITs, developers, and corporates. The Firm's collaborative culture ensures that you will receive ongoing support and mentorship through to Special Counsel. There is ample activity across three highly National property Partners to support a clear pathway forward.
The Role: Act autonomously where appropriate on large-scale property transactions.Lead negotiations directly with clients, providing strategic advice on capital transactions for institutional investors and developers.Mentor and delegate tasks to junior lawyers and paralegals, maintaining a cohesive team dynamic.Collaborate with the national property law team, contributing to key initiatives and business development efforts.Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service and commercial outcomes.About You: Bachelor of Laws with strong academic credentials.Minimum of 4 years' post-admission experience in commercial property law.Proven ability to work autonomously with substantial clients, particularly in large commercial transactions.Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring junior team members.A collaborative, 'one team' approach, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the team.There are a number of ongoing trends specific to Queensland and across the wider Australian market that are propelling these areas of the law forward and creating significant opportunities for lawyers to advance quickly.
