Work with a team of Portfolio and Property specialists who collaborate closely with all stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer propositionSydney, Brisbane, Melbourne CBD locations / hybrid wfhThe purpose of this crucial role is to ensure the Property product has an effective control environment across key responsibilities such as Product Appetite, Product Wordings and Underwriting Guidelines.
Ensure Business License and DUA controls operate effectively for the Property product.
This role also involves driving the financial performance of the Property portfolio by owning and implementing product & pricing strategies to optimise the growth, margin and risk profile over the short and medium term.
Key responsibilities include: Accountable for Risk Appetite, Underwriting Guidelines, DUA Framework and all Property Wordings including controls that ensure a robust approach to oversight and change process when requiredEnsure compliance with all risk frameworksWork with Pricing & Analytics and Underwriting to ensure an approach to pricing adequacy that considers required returns, volatility of returns and the market cycleDeliver financial results against both Budget and Medium-Term profit targets for PropertySupport coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities for underwriters in line with career development plans.Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years commercial Property underwriting experience, coupled with relevant qualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of portfolio, underwriting and pricing practices and policiesUnderstanding of Pricing techniques and their application in underwriting tools.Advanced understanding of the Property product, industry, market environment, and customer segmentsAdvanced understanding of the risk / return profiles of Property and techniques to optimise performance within appetite.At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
