In this role you will be responsible for the 'hands on', day to day running of the operational component of Property, Security and Fleet management.
The operations component involves the management of planned and reactive maintenance works on building assets using contract service providers. Key to this aspect of work is the ongoing measurement and management of contractor performance, with particular regard to customer service and response timings.
There is also a requirement to plan and manage capital works projects to ensure that the appropriate outcomes are achieved within budget and with minimal interruption to building occupants.

About your new role Lead a team of dedicated maintenance and project staff, including managing the work of contractors.Lead a wide variety of activities involved with maintaining the organisations facilities to an acceptable level.Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of facilities management so as to continually improve business performance both systemically and financially.Ensure regular and proactive maintenance inspections of all ActewAGL facilities.Provide the Property, Security and Fleet group with feedback on trends, anomalies, concerns or suggestions regarding our facilities and take action as appropriate.Manage numerous formal service contracts currently in place across the whole of the organisation, including major capital work contracts.About you Essential You have demonstrated experience in Facilities/Property managementYou have experience in the building industryYou possess Project Management qualificationsYou have demonstrated experience in managing building or facilities related projectsYou have demonstrated contractor management experienceYou possess a good knowledge of maintenance management practicesDesirable You have a Current ACT builders licenseYou have trade qualifications in the building industryYou possess knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian StandardsYou possess a knowledge of building life safety systems and compliance requirements within the ACTSo, why join ActewAGL?
