About UsSettle Easy is an innovative conveyancing business that seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with the expertise of Australia's top conveyancers and property lawyers.With the support of the biggest brands in real estate, we're growing fast; by joining Settle Easy, you will make a meaningful impact while enjoying a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environment.The RoleIf you are an experienced Property lawyer/Conveyancer with a passion for customer service and relationship development and want to be at the forefront of revolutionising the conveyancing industry, we want to hear from you!Reporting to our National Head of Practice, the role will initially be hands-on, but as our business grows, you can build your own team of lawyers and conveyancers.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role offers a diverse range of exciting and impactful responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:Spearhead critical projects and high-value engagements, taking ownership from inception to completionDevelop, refine, and standardise legal precedents and operational processes to enhance efficiency and consistencyProvide mentorship and guidance to junior and support staff, fostering their professional developmentImplement a robust quality control system, including final sign-offsFacilitate clear communication channels between team members, clients, and other stakeholdersConduct regular project status meetings and produce comprehensive progress reports for senior managementTransactional ExpertiseServe as the go-to for overflow and complex conveyancing transactionsPerform thorough contract reviews, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategiesDraft and negotiate key transaction documents, ensuring all legal and commercial interests are protectedProvide strategic advice on structuring transactionsStay abreast of changes in property law and conveyancing practices, assisting management with updating internal guidelines accordinglyCompliance, Audit, and Quality AssuranceCollaborate with the management team to develop and implement robust compliance frameworksConduct regular audits of transactional processes to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulationsPerform quality assurance checks on a sample of completed transactions to maintain high standardsSupport the development and delivery of compliance and professional development training programs for staff at all levels of the businessFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the businessIdentify areas for process optimisation and support cross-functional teams to implement solutionsEngage with partners and customers to gather feedback and insights for service enhancementResearch industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the firm at the forefront of legal service deliveryConceptualise and develop new service offerings to expand the firm's market reachCollaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue opportunities in new marketsImplement data-driven decision-making processes to guide improvement initiativesEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiativesPresent regular reports to senior management on the progress and impact of continuous improvement effortsKey Position RequirementsSuccessful applicants will demonstrate the following:5+ years PAE in all aspects of property law and a current unrestricted practicing certificateExcellent interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer and stakeholder focus and work ethicStrong IT literacy, including an aptitude for learning (and becoming proficient in) the use of legal technology and IT applicationsProfessional presentationAbility to multitask and manage several different tasks/jobs at once in an organised and coherent mannerGreat attention to detailEnthusiasm, confidence, energy, and positivityWhilst not essential, experience in other jurisdictions will be highly regarded.Benefits and PerksSupportive team and leadershipCareer progressionFlexible work arrangements (hybrid - work from home and office)Professional development opportunities as the business evolvesExclusive discounts on our conveyancing and third-party services.We work hard but take time to celebrate successes and have some fun along the way.
