Our client is a leading educational publisher dedicated to crafting customised school planning and wellbeing solutions for over 1,000 Australian schools. Their products, used daily by students and teachers, not only aid in organisation but also promote school identity and community wellbeing.
They require a meticulous Proofreader who also has Typesetting skills to join their dynamic team. If you have an eagle eye for grammatical and layout errors, along with typesetting and finished art experience in Adobe InDesign, then you could be perfect for this opportunity.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of their publications, making a real difference in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities: Hunt down grammatical, typographical, and layout errors in our educational publications. Collaborate with our talented graphics team to maintain design consistency and brand adherence. Utilise your expertise in Adobe InDesign to mark up final proofs and implement necessary corrections. Provide valuable feedback to enhance the overall quality of our publications. Work closely with our Head of Graphics to meet project deadlines and uphold our standards of excellence. To be suitable for the role, you'll naturally be a perfectionist with exceptional attention to detail and top-notice proofreading skills. You'll be right across Adobe InDesign and comfortable with finished art requirements. Previous experience in typesetting publications and error-checking is preferred along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
This is an on site requirement, based in the outer south east suburbs of Melbourne and near Frankston. You'll be required Monday to Friday, with flexibility during the school holiday period.
