Reporting directly to the National Construction Manager, this position is essentially a step into Project Management; delivering successful project programmes.THE COMPANYOur client is a benchmark provider in Cooling, Heating, and Temperature control of large spaces, thinking Bunnings, pharmaceutical warehouses, mega logistics centres, and large-scale sports arenas. This is the core business and makes up the majority of project work.They also deliver ventilation, office air conditioning, and other specialty systems, as well as bespoke BMS solutions fully optimising energy efficiency for the life of the facility.The systems are prefab and installation time is minimal, in some cases delivered in a morning and via equipment helicopter for those logistically challenging projects! It is a fast-paced and exciting environment; due to the nature of the projects, the operational team is small, and so the business runs a fairly flat structure from its Brisbane operation that services both Australia and overseas (Germany, China, Indonesia) and is expanding.REQUIREMENTSTrade Qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration MechanicUnderstanding of the construction skills process and project management principlesAround 3+ years' experience in managing project budgets and programmesRESPONSIBILITIESSubcontractor relationship managementProject budget and programme management and planningDesign and site meeting attendanceAssist when required with on-site direct supervision of installation of HVAC systemsReporting on project budgets and tracking project critical contract informationCoordination with in-house design, drafting, controls, and services teamsInterstate and overnight travelProvide mentoring to the project teamON OFFERExcellent career opportunity to formalise your role into Project Supervision/Project Management and take a step up.
