Reporting into the Manager Tailings Projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Projects Study Lead.
This role will see you responsible for managing a major cross-discipline scoping, prefeasibility and feasibility study, and detailed design for the Rosebery Tailings storage facilities.
You will also provide guidance, idea generation, review, and administration to ensure the study considers all sensible options and is carried out in accordance with MMG project and other MMG standards to deliver long-term tailing storage solutions for the operation.
Responsibilities include (however not limited to): Deliver studies in the strategic and business plans on time, within budget, and to specification. Coordinate Independent Tailing review Board and other study reviews. Obtain all necessary permits, agreements, and approvals for development, construction, and operation of the facilities. Identify new project opportunities. Fully scope studies and schedule resources and budget. Delivery of comprehensive studies to required standards. Apply the investment management process and guidelines to studies. Ensure studies comply with MMG's management systems and all statutory and legal standards. This role is offered on a 5:2 / 4:3 roster and can be based in Rosebery or our Burnie office on the picturesque West Coast of Tasmania.
Relocation support is provided for those wishing to relocate to Rosebery or surrounding areas.
Competencies, qualifications, and skills: Proven experience in Project Management processes. Commercial acumen with experience in financial analysis and scheduling. Strong time management skills with the ability to set priorities across a range of projects/studies. Ability to think strategically and critically with a long-term focus. Effective communicator at all levels of the business (management, technical, operational, maintenance). Ability to lead Study Consultants and Engineers.
