About the Role Are you a strategic thinker with a passion in developing and optimising procurement solutions?

Santos is seeking a talented Projects Procurement Adviser based in Perth to develop and deliver project strategy, procurement solutions and contracts in support of projects.
The role will undertake sound contract and procurement work, of medium to major scale and dollar value and operate on projects that contribute to Santos' competitive advantage and meet its business objectives.
This will be delivered through application of leading industry and company knowledge, effective management of project procurement packages and outstanding stakeholder engagement.

Key accountabilities include:
Identify, frame, lead and manage contract and procurement packages in support of development and abandonment projects, and other procurement activities as required.
Identify and deliver project benefits through sourcing, negotiation, and excellence in contract management.
Deliver end to end contracting and procurement requirements for each assigned project, value circa up to $50M.
Use initiative, industry knowledge and best practice concepts to lead the development and delivery of project contracting strategies and sourcing plans to achieve stakeholder requirements including lowest total cost, delivery of growth objectives and security of supply.
Effectively engage and work collaboratively with project managers, senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure best value outcomes as well as compliance with internal Santos, and external, requirements.
Manage contractual relationships with Contractors throughout the post-award contract lifecycle to ensure risk and exposure is managed and value, EHS, quality, cost and project's requirements are met.
Manage security requirements, variations, claims and disputes and proactively engage legal, project leadership and other key stakeholders to manage company post contract award risk.
Manage transactions within Supply Chain contract and ERP systems.
Provide expertise in support of the Project team's objective to execute within cost and schedule constraints.
Provide expertise and advice in negotiation of contract terms, variations and disputes as required.
About You To be successful in this role, we are seeking for professionals with the demonstrated experience in the following:
Previous experience in oil and gas/energy sector or similar industry.
Experience on major projects, contract administration and dispute resolution.
Strong experience and expert knowledge in Procurement, Category Management and/or Strategic Sourcing.
Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in law, business, supply chain management or related discipline.
