Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a permanent, flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight).
The location of this position is open to negotiation with the successful applicant.
Duties High level knowledge of the renewable energy sector or major projects or knowledge of assessment and approvals requirements and a good understanding (or ability to acquire) of the impacts of decisions on project feasibility, constructability and delivery timelines.
Demonstrated collaborative mindset to both create and support effective relationships within the department, across government, with industry, the community, and Tasmanian Aboriginal peoples to not only progress issues but find solutions.
Proven Project delivery experience with the ability to define tasks to be delivered to meet agreed outcomes and to coordinate and guide others in the execution of work activities.
Monitor progress of projects against agreed schedules, identify risks and barriers and take corrective action where required.
Proven capacity to influence and drive change to add value to stakeholders while maintaining the confidence of key stakeholders including ability to convey technical or complex information succinctly to non-experts.
Proven highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and foster effective relationships, communicate with influence, negotiate, resolve conflict, provide and receive constructive feedback, and represent the Agency and constructively deal with proponent issues.
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality written documentation to meet a variety of uses for a range of audiences, with the ability to communicate complex matters in a straightforward manner.
Demonstrated experience in effective management of a small team, including work allocations and deliverable outcomes, performance management and conflict resolution.
A tertiary qualification with an engineering, law, environmental, or project management/commercial focus would be well regarded.
This position may be required to undertake intrastate travel.
