About the role We are currently recruiting three (3) Projects Contract Specialists to join our Major Projects Management Office.
These roles can be based anywhere within Essential Energy's Operational Footprint in NSW.
The Projects Contract Specialist is responsible for administering goods and services contracts to achieve delivery of contractual obligations to agreed standards, which supports effective delivery of Major Projects and Transmission Services ("MPTS") works.
The Projects Contract Specialist provides specialist contract administration support for the MPTS delivery teams and particularly the Program/Project Managers.
This includes providing input, oversight and advice to facilitate planning, procurement, management and review of contracts in accordance with Essential Energy's Contract Management Framework and approved procedures.
Key responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the planning, procurement and review stages of the Contract Management Framework, including review of documentation and working with key stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes Provide contract administration support including assistance with drafting contracts, control clarification / decisions registers, contract negotiations and contract variations Interpret and explain contract requirements, and terms and conditions to stakeholders to support compliance with statutory and policy requirements and inform decision-making Lead the management stage of the Contract Management Framework, including monitoring contractor/supplier performance and addressing non-performance, to achieve the required contract outcomes Act as key point of contact and Subject Matter Expert, for Project/Program Manager queries relating to all contractual matters About You In order to be successful as a Projects Contract Specialist you will possess: Demonstrated experience in areas including legal compliance, negotiation, variation and dispute/conflict management Experience in maintaining accurate records in business systems, logistics coordination, procurement, and balancing priorities to meet deadlines Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies and procedures including project management methodologies and processes Demonstrated experience in the preparation and delivery of well organised and structured information including presentations, charts, reports to management levels, and communication collateral.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people and handle all types of stakeholder and customer enquiries Sound skills in business systems relevant to the role such as Oracle (ERP), MS Office and SharePoint Required Qualification Advanced Diploma in Program Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experiences and/or relevant qualifications.
Drivers Licence Desirable Project management certification/experience Complex contract administration experience, including GC21 and MW21 contracts Understanding and application of Contract Management Frameworks in large organisations Why Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience, plus 16% superannuation on a 9-day fortnight.
