Project Support Officer

The key duties of the position include:The RoleManage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with organisational practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project.
The APS 5 - Project Support Officer will:


Responsible for the management of schedule, risk, budget and resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to the project progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
Apply established technical, operational, professional, and administrative activities, procedures, practices, and project management methodologies.
Identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision making and priority setting.
Build and sustain stakeholder engagement including the ability to communicate with influence and negotiate effectively.
Work collaboratively by building effective relationships with team members and actively participating in group activities.
Analyse project performance against agreed plans and develop and initiate strategies to achieve project outcomes.
Resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.

Our Ideal CandidateAn APS 5 Project Support Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility.
They will interpret and provide advice within the Project Control function based on legislation, policy and procedures.
They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural and administrative support work to achieve results.
The APS 5 Project Support Officer will coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members.
They may be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.
They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.
EligibilitySecurity Clearance:Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Baseline Vetting" level.
