Only people with disability may apply for this role. The Role The Project Support Officer works as part of a team to support the Skills and Employment (SE) Deputy Secretary's office, ensuring effective administration and operational support.
The role requires effective written communication, correspondence and record keeping, and the application of administrative policies, procedures and protocols, including support for procurement processes.
A high level of engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, is an everyday feature of the role, requiring excellent interpersonal skills.
Use IT project tools to manage and report on workflows.Prepare documents including reports, presentations, publications, PowerPoint documents, graphs and charts.Develop and implement communications strategies to build program/project knowledge.Capture and document lessons learned upon duration and completion of programs/projects to support continuous improvement.The Team The position of Project Support Officer forms a part of the Office of the Deputy Secretary within the Skills and Employment Group.
The Office of the Deputy Secretary provides high level executive support and advice to the Deputy Secretary and supports Skills and Employment (SE) to deliver on all priorities, including supporting weekly meetings with the Minister's Office, delivering high-quality briefings on time to the Secretary and Ministers, coordinating meeting and event briefs and providing overall support aligning with the Deputy Secretary's key requirements.
The Office leads the coordination of Departmental and Ministerial processes on behalf of SE and Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD), including cabinet and legislative functions and planning and reporting functions.
