What We Offer Competitive Salary: Queensland Local Government Industry Award of $71,000 to $79,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications/experience) + Superannuation.Professional Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Supportive Environment: friendly community with a workplace that values support and a strong sense of community.Leave Benefits: Personal (Sick) Leave, Monthly RDOs, and 5 weeks Annual Leave.Housing Assistance: Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 pw Renting/$90 pw Homeowner).What You'll Do Develop procurement processes, tools, and templates to ensure efficient project delivery.Prepare project cost reports, manage tenders, and oversee contract documentation.Coordinate funding applications and acquittals for State and Federal programs.Train and support staff on procurement systems and policies.Analyse spending trends and optimize supplier performance for maximum value.Engage with project managers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and predictable outcomes.What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of procurement practices and tools.Proven experience in contract management and tender processes for capital projects.Excellent communication skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities.Familiarity with local government regulations and project lifecycle processes.Qualifications Needed Mandatory Construction White Card.Experience in a similar role within local government or the civil construction industry.Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Procurement, Business Administration, or related fields.Understanding of technical design and engineering drawings.Experience working with architectural, engineering, and construction.For a more detailed job outline, please refer to the attached Position Description.
