The Activity Centre Program is a key Housing Statement initiative, to deliver more homes close to services, jobs, and transport across Melbourne. The Department of Transport and Planning oversees key planning, transport and land use policy decisions and management across the State. About the Role The Activity Centre Division works across State Government and with local government, industry and the community to implement the Government's Activity Centre Program. The Project Support Officer role supports the development and delivery of Planning Controls within Activity Centres. The role supports stakeholder and community engagement, prepares a range of project documents, monitors and reports on project status, contributes to risk and issue management, contributes to the processes for project procurement and contract management, and establishes and maintains relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Position Outcomes Contributes to stakeholder and community engagement efforts, including the development and delivery of Activity Centres. Supports the analysis and reporting of feedback to guide the program's progression.Provides high-level administrative and project management support, managing tasks to ensure the effective delivery of the Activity Centres Program. Engages with key stakeholders across government, local councils, the community, and the development industry.Prepares quality minutes, agendas, papers, presentations, speaking notes, and correspondence, ensuring timely delivery. Fosters team effectiveness by promoting knowledge sharing and contributing to a collaborative workplace culture.Ensures alignment with business unit, group, and departmental priorities through flexibility and collaboration. Practices cultural safety by creating inclusive environments that value participation and equity.Additional responsibilities may be assigned under the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic), consistent with the officer's skills and capabilities.Qualifications and Role Specific Requirements Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of government objectives and departmental policies and ability to apply these.Experience as project support or business support officer.How to Apply Click the 'Apply' button and follow the prompts.
