Project Supervisors (Testing & Tie In's, Welding, Trenching)Moec Pty Ltd is a growing construction contractor that offers pipeline construction and gas gathering services to our clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industries in the Surat and Bowen Basin and other sites across Australia.
We are dedicated to achieving high standards of work with a focus on health, safety, environment, and quality.
We are looking for qualified Project Supervisors (for Welding/Trenching/Testing & Tie-ins) with Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services Experience to work on our HDPE Gas Gathering Project in the Surat Basin.
This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning.
Potentially 2-3 years of consistent work.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our on-site project crew with but not limited to:
Project Management and Planning: Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project schedules.Develop detailed work plans and daily task assignments for crews.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.Monitor project progress against the schedule and identify potential delays or challenges.Manage project budgets and track material and labour costs.Prepare and submit progress reports to project stakeholders.Site Supervision and Crew Leadership: Provide daily oversight of construction activities on the job site.Ensure adherence to safety regulations and enforce safe work practices.Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.Motivate, lead, and coach crews to achieve high-quality work performance.Address crew concerns and mediate any conflicts that may arise.Maintain clear communication with crew members regarding tasks, expectations, and safety protocols.Quality Control and Documentation: Oversee quality control procedures to ensure construction adheres to blueprints and specifications.Perform inspections of materials and workmanship, identifying and addressing any deviations.Maintain accurate and detailed construction records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders.Timeliness and accuracy of progress reporting in Synchro.Work with inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.Additional Responsibilities: May be involved in the procurement of materials and equipment.Manage subcontractor performance and ensure they meet contractual obligations.Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and potential issues.Assist with project closeout activities, including final inspections and documentation.To be successful, you'll need: Technical Skills: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.Excellent project management, planning, and scheduling skills.Soft Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to motivate and guide crews.Proficient in construction documentation and recordkeeping practices.Strong commitment to safety and ability to enforce safe work practices on the job site.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead to anticipate and address potential challenges.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software (Synchro).Experience in the Mining or Gas Gathering sector.Additional requirements: A current driver's license and white card.Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures.Availability to start work in the next 2-4 weeks and pass a pre-employment medical.Roster: 18 days on, 10 days off (paid travel on day 1 and day 10 of RnR).
