Join Australia's fastest-growing and award-winning drone inspection and surveying company as a Project Supervisor | Remote (Drone) Pilot and work with the latest remote sensing equipment on challenging and high-profile inspection and survey projects.Sensorem is seeking a Project Supervisor; primarily working in, or supervising a two-person team, working across the Pilbara on an ongoing FIFO (8/6) asset inspection contract for a major mining company.For this role, we're seeking more than just a qualified drone pilot.
The successful candidate will have a deep interest in remote sensing technology, show attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and consider safety as the number one priority.Candidates must be comfortable operating in a team environment, and equally, be able to work independently on projects in regional and remote areas.All positions are permanent, full-time contracts.This role will involve operating the DJI Enterprise drone, including Drone-in-a-Box RPAS solution on inspection and survey projects in metro, regional, and remote areas.
Our Remote (Drone) Pilots are also trained to use the latest terrestrial laser/pano camera systems for rooftop and industrial inspections.About the business:Sensorem has been a leading remote sensing solutions provider since 2013, specialising in drone asset inspection, aerial surveying, mobile LiDAR mapping, and remote drone operations.
Our projects span the country and are managed from our Operations Centre in Perth.Sensorem is an Aerodyne Group company.We operate a range of the latest enterprise drone platforms, including multi-rotor, powered lift, collision tolerant, NDT, and Drone-in-a-Box.Responsibilities:Plan, work and deliver projects to a high standard.Coordinate with clients and site managers to schedule flights and inspections effectively.Oversee daily operations, ensuring all tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope.Handle on-site issues, such as equipment malfunctions, adverse weather conditions, or client concerns.Implement and enforce safety protocols of both company and client, including pre-flight checks, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and readiness of drone hardware and software.Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, feedback, and concerns.Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored solutions.Complete inspection forms and post-inspection documentation.Manage large datasets acquired on-site, ready for post-processing through our data processing centre.Provide regular feedback and implement strategies to optimise efficiency and output.Minimum Requirements:CASA RePL (multi-rotor up to 25kgs)Aeronautical radio operators license (AROC)Experience operating DJI M3E, M300 (or similar) multi-rotor dronesExperience in commercial drone operationsBackground in mining, asset inspection, engineering or surveyingSound understanding of the CASA drone regulationsAbility to perform job safety analysis and risk identificationWillingness to travel to regional areas of the country for periods up to 10 daysValid driver's licenseExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAdditional CASA approved credentials or type certificates (eg.
