This role will be offered as a 12-Month contract position, on a 7/7 FIFO roster, based out of our client's mine site in rural South Australia, with FIFO out of Adelaide Airport. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the mechanical supervisor provides leadership to the team responsible for executing the mechanical equipment maintenance plan on site. This includes providing a lead technical resource for problem resolution, maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance, minimising the impact of unscheduled works, and reviewing and changing maintenance actions to achieve this where necessary.
About the role:Provide effective leadership and supervision to electrical tradesConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standardsWork and assist planning personnel to maximise the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimise the impact of unscheduled maintenanceEnsure mechanical contractors working on site are appropriately trained and compliant with site electrical safety and equipment policies, including critical and statutory trainingWork closely with the superintendent in managing aspects of the maintenance budget and costsProducing, reviewing, and auditing standard maintenance proceduresAssist in providing systems for improving process and equipment reliabilityAssist in providing training systems for the trade group, ensuring all critical and statutory training is kept up to dateWhere necessary, assist other groups to comply with mechanical standards and legislation by acting as a "technical resource".To be considered for the role you will have:Significant experience in mechanical trade within a heavy industrial or minerals processing environmentProven experience assessing equipment failuresIndustrial processing experience with a continuous operationStructural, mechanical and piping equipment experienceProject and time management experienceScope designs out projects for equipment improvementsExperience in equipment failure analysis and root cause analysisAsset management software packages such as SAPIf you believe you or someone you know fits most of this criteria, please contact James Crouch on 0429 499 *** for more information.
