The Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Supervisor to oversee affordable housing projects on behalf of the Tasmanian Government. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of these vital projects, contributing to the growth and development of communities across Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, subcontractors, and community representatives, to facilitate smooth project execution and address any issues or concerns. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement or corrective action. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Experience and Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably in affordable housing or government-funded projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and standards, with the ability to interpret and implement project specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion. Certificate IV in Building & Construction or a relevant Construction-related degree.
