Project / Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer - Tailings Team

About Us
Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 19 business units with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate Geotech professionals, providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, mining and energy sectors.
Our Perth-based design team is looking to bring on geotechnical engineers with design experience in a consultancy setting. You would be working on projects ranging from inner city buildings and infrastructure to remote tailings storage facilities. We are open to speaking with candidates with anywhere from 3 to 12 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities

Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs.
Work with the senior technical team to contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works, infrastructure and tailings storage facilities.
Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work.
Ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality standards.
Maintain good relationships with existing clients and work with the client relations/business development team to target new opportunities.

Qualifications/Experience/Attributes

Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Team player.
Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience working in a geotechnical consulting environment.
Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably (Plaxis, Rocscience Slide, RSPile, Settle3, LimitState Geo etc.).
Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary.
Proven experience in the design delivery of complex projects.
Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
Current Aus drivers license.
Combination of office-based and field-based work, ability to travel.
