As the Project Scheduler you will support the Project/Program Managers in schedule management within Birdon's Defence Division. You will plan, maintain, analyse and report on Project Schedules and progress.
Key Accountabilities: Contribute and support Project methodology and planning with the Program Manager, Production, Project, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.Develop, implement and maintain the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS) in the Project Schedule.Support visibility and awareness of upcoming pre-production, production and verification activities to Integrated Project Team (IPT) Leads in accordance with the Project Critical Path, including detailed logic planning and recalibration of production methodology when required.Responsible for frequent status updates and progressing in the Project Schedule for both pre-production (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Project) towards production readiness, and Production build progress.Optimise use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft (MS) Project in the development and maintenance of Contract Master Schedules (CMS).Attend the weekly Project Team and share Project Schedule Progress Updates within the Integrated Project Team (IPT).Conduct Project Schedule analysis, health checks / audits and reporting (including Earned Value) through Primavera P6, Power BI and Office Timeline reports for fortnightly Steering Committee review and Integrated Project Team (IPT) leads.Responsible for developing the monthly Contract Master Schedule (CMS) deliverable and liaising with the Project Client scheduling team to ensure access to and accuracy of the Contract Master Schedule (CMS) i.e. compatibility of functionality in Client scheduling software, often Open Plan Professional - OPP.Support the Program Manager/s to understand and plan for team resourcing to meet Project deliverables and requirements.Support Birdon bids and proposals as required.Essential: Substantive experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft (MS) Project to manage resources, track and forecast project progress.Project Scheduling experience in design, construction, maintenance or equivalent industry.Understanding of Project forecasting and cost estimation (ETC and EAC).Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and related disciplines to enable cost and schedule variance tracking and reporting of performance indicators.Strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and MS Excel.Benefits: EAPOnsite ParkingCompetitive salaryProfessional developmentOpportunity in career progressionWe deliver value for our customers through our innovative people, organisational agility, and operational excellence.
