Project Scheduler

Local Peoples is seeking enthusiastic and talented Project Scheduler in the ACT to join our team as embedded members with our prestigious Government client. The Project Schedulers will develop and manage integrated schedules that map and track all accountable activity across all streams of work that contribute to project and program outcomes. Through stakeholder engagement, they capture and monitor the relationship between dependencies, and ensure target milestones are realistic, achievable, and on track.
Project Schedulers will:

Provide administrative and technical support for project scheduling activities.
Undertake project resource management activities.
Work under the support and direction of senior staff.
Make decisions within defined parameters based on evidence and foundational knowledge.
Contribute to shared goals in the context of competing priorities and changes in workplace practices and strategic direction.
Work flexibly in or across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for the development of integrated schedules for small-scale projects and programs.
Liaise with stakeholders across work streams to inform design, development and support relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Assist with routine reporting cycles and update schedules to ensure accurate sequencing, alignment of dependencies, and progress against deliverables and milestones.
Identify and help resolve scheduling issues to support the delivery of outcomes.
Contribute to the effectiveness of streamlined team processes and continuous improvement.
Perform research and analysis on project schedules and contribute to the preparation of reports.
Contribute to providing support and scheduling knowledge to stakeholders.
Exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 3 years' experience managing scheduling activities across large-scale projects and programs.
Demonstrated experience capturing and monitoring the relationship between dependencies, and ensuring target milestones are realistic, achievable, and on track.
Demonstrated experience operating with a considerable degree of independence, working under the broad direction of senior staff.
Demonstrated experience providing scheduling expertise for highly technical and complex schedules that align to and meet business objectives.
Knowledge or experience with Services Australia portfolio, programme and project management methodologies, frameworks and practices.

Residency and Clearance:

Must have Baseline Clearance or be able to obtain one.
Australian Citizen.
This role is open to ACT.
