We are currently looking for experienced Project Risks & Issues Managers to join our Advisory business based in Canberra, ACT .
As part of our support to Australian Government departments, your role as a Project Risk Co-ordinator will be to support successful delivery of the program of work, comprising both services and deliverables for an ongoing business transformation program.
As a Project Risk Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include: Co-ordinating and providing advice to project teams on predicting risks. Monthly reviewing, predicting risks, proposing amendments with justification. Managing and reporting risk using the Predict tool. Preparing, supporting and informing corporate tasking, financial management, budget, risk and reporting processes including senate estimates. Supporting resource planning including preparing for surge/scope changes, identifying and proposing solutions for improvements, recruitment, retention and clarification of roles and responsibilities. Implementing the necessary governance, processes, policies and procedures to support successful program delivery. Developing a strategy for project risk and issues management. Consulting with stakeholders and SMEs to support risk and issues analysing and planning. Supporting the project team through the development of risk management plans and analysis as needed. Organising risk meetings and workshops to support analysis and planning. Undertaking planned and ad hoc risk and issues evaluation as required. Assisting in the delivery of the project's risk management outcomes. Drafting and reviewing of project risk documentation, reports and briefs. Developing and maintaining a Risk and Issues Log. To be successful for the role of Configuration Manager/Controller you will need: Risk management experience within government acquisition projects, or program of projects. Familiarity with government risk management processes and methodologies. Technical, commercial, industry and/or management experience gained within a Defence environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Confidence and self-motivation. Whilst not essential, experience in the following is desirable: Experience in maritime and Border Protection operations and projects. Formal qualification/certification in Risk Management. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is preferred.
