The role
Our Wollongong based team is seeking an experienced degree qualified Electrical Engineer working on different projects.
We seek an individual who has what it takes to assist in the delivery of Capital Projects.

The scope will include working on the delivery of electrical work packages across various Capital Projects as determined by the approved plant Capital Budget.
Your responsibilities will include.

Input to all phases of a project within the electrical scope of services as required by the Project Manager/Engineer Define the system's global architecture and prepare project feasibility assessments from an electrical and automation standpoint Design of electrical and automated control systems including Human Machine Interface (HMI) development Ensures full compliance of work undertaken according to relevant BlueScope and IEEE Standards Selects the appropriate technology for projects (PLC, Drive, Instruments, Sensors, Valves, Actuators, MCC, Motors, etc.)
and ensures that they are fully compatible Design drawings for the construction of the physical components of electrical and automation systems including, but not limited to the following: Single Line Diagrams, Motor Control Schematics/specifications, Control panel layout & design Electrical power distribution systems design and specification I/O wiring Loop drawings Network system design Prepare technical reports and client correspondences/presentations to project stakeholders Review and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical and controls equipment as well as construction document packages Actively involved and responsible for installation and commissioning of electrical work packages for specific capital projects Applications are sought from candidates with the following attributes:
Electrical engineering background with an associated degree in engineering Electrical or Automation engineering background, (preferable with Instrumentation and PLC systems background), Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial experience (with knowledge of and work demonstration of safety systems, safe system of work documentation, contractor supervision, equipment commissioning, project close out, etc) Demonstrated experience in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in reading, designing, or troubleshooting P&ID and electrical diagrams Knowledge of various industrial communication protocols We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, with a strong history of successfully delivering projects.You will have demonstrated the ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow through within a challenging environment with multiple and competing demands.
