We are a preferred recruitment partner with a number of leading mining, engineering, construction and utility companies.We have positions open for experienced Planners to work with our client Rio Tinto on a rolling 12-month contract. Reporting to the Superintendent Project Controls, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining executable schedules in P6 for minor and large-scale sustaining capital projects. Key responsibilities of this role include:Develop basis of Schedule documents as per company template.Update and maintain resource loading to ensure accommodation forecast can be issued weekly.Review and analyse contractors' schedules and report on non-compliance against the schedule.Ensure the project team agree on a project baseline for reporting and control purposes.Attend monthly review meetings and identify the consequences of deviations from the plan.Conduct site visits to validate progress, forecast dates and make any agreed changes.Review progress and performance trend information to develop internal assessment of project completion and advise project team of any deviation from the initial plan.Ensure Schedules are aligned with the estimate and make allowances for growth and contingency.Provide technical support where required.About YouTo be considered for this role you will ideally have:Relevant experience in a sustaining capital planning role ideally in the mining industry.Intermediate/Advanced use of P6 and Excel.Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills.The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.This role is Perth based, working 40 hours per week.
