Project Planner

A global ASX mining and metals organization, they operate, develop, and have exploration programs across a wide range of commodities. They are known for their commitment to excellence and innovation, operating with a focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency.Due to their recent restructure, they are looking for an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler to join their Front End Engineering Team.
You will report to the engineering superintendent and work with a team of professional engineers. This contract role will allow you to work from home with occasional travel to site.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather project information and update schedules accordingly. Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Monitor progress against the schedule and communicate any deviations or delays. Provide regular reports and analysis on project schedule performance. Requirements: Previous experience as a Project Scheduler, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector. Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with a large amount of information and provide accurate schedules for governing purposes. Benefits: Opportunity to work with a leading mining owner and operator.
