Daracon Group is one of NSW's leading civil engineering contractors. We have a steady stream of major projects within the Newcastle region which include road upgrades, bridges, earthworks, rail, services, station upgrades, public spaces, landscaping and subdivisions.
We have the need for a Project Planner to join our head office team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity available for a driven project professional who wants to make an impact. This is a full-time position based out of Beresfield working as part of the planning and project controls team.
You will be a key team member on our projects and will assist our estimating and project teams in preparation and updating of tender and execution project schedules / programs ranging in value from $15M - $150M.
The ideal candidate has attention to detail and is driven for project success. You will be responsible for schedule development, review, update and analysis for the duration of our projects and integration of data from estimation and cost control tools.
This role is open to candidates that either have: Experience as a civil engineer, project manager or construction manager who is looking for an exciting change and stable work; or Demonstrated 5+ years of experience as a project planner. To be considered for this role you will have: Experience using project planning software on civil projects; Excellent communication skills in both a verbal and written capacity; Attention to detail with a logic-driven and analytical mindset; The ability to work in an autonomous role within a supportive team environment. Experience in the following would be advantageous however training is also available: Primavera Cloud or Primavera P6 planning tools; Microsoft Project; and/or Delay analysis.
