behalf of 10 other Commonwealth departments, managing over $7b in government's investment in Australian businesses.Grants play a critical role in: supporting growth in businesses and industries fostering research and innovation strengthening communities helping the environment providing emergency relief In addition to grant program management, the division encompasses enabling functions that provide a comprehensive support model for grant delivery.These broadly include development and management of our Customer and Grant Management systems, delivery of training and professional development initiatives, workforce planning as well as delivery of continuous improvement projects.It is a dynamic division of over 350 people, all our teams are geographically dispersed with staff located all around Australia!The Grants Capability and Workforce team plays a pivotal role within the division, overseeing a diverse range of functions aimed at fortifying the division's operational backbone.These encompass: management of divisional workforce planning capabilities maintenance of required staffing levels through varied surge options and recruitment processes delivery of training and professional development initiatives to meet divisional capability needs management of contracts for Third Party service providers delivery of induction programs and initiatives to better support culture and people in our division.The opportunity We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated applicants across multiple roles in the Grants Capability and Workforce team.Please specify the area grant delivery teams in the division and determines best solutions for change.We manage workforce related data sets and respond to requests for data, information and strategic advice on a range of workforce planning matters.Grants Training Responsible for training and educating our staff on bespoke grants software, processes, and business skill sets, to meet the strategic goals of the department.We work closely across grants delivery and enabling areas of the department to communicate and embed standard practices into day-to-day operations.People Engagement Oversees management of recruitment, mobility, and people engagement processes for the division, including assisting with the onboarding and induction process of new starters.We liaise with stakeholders across the department and provide information to our division on people-related matters.We drive the development, implementation and promotion of culture and well-being initiatives.Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidates workplace in their own way.What you will do Irrespective of the section you work in, as an APS5 Project Officer in the Grants Capability and Workforce team you will work under limited direction and perform the following key duties: Assist with development and implementation of initiatives and delivery of projects within your area of responsibility.Undertake and manage moderately complex projects and BaU activities under the direction of Supervisor, providing regular progress updates and ensure quality and timely outputs.Compose a range of written content, develop artefacts, templates and guides tailored to specific audiences.Respond to enquiries, coordinate requests and escalate complex issues in a timely manner.Develop and manage relationships with internal stakeholders across the department to obtain information, data and advice to support resolution of issues.Conduct research and analysis and prepare reports to inform strategic decisions.Provide record management and administrative support.Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.Notes We welcome applications from all over Australia and flexible working arrangements will be discussed with the
