About the role: The two Project Officer roles in the newly established Climate Health Victoria present a challenging and rewarding opportunity well suited to motivated, adaptable individuals, eager to work collaboratively in a small team. You will be required to support the development of initiatives that will reduce the health sector's carbon footprint and build resilience of the sector to climate change.
The roles have a strong focus on project management and data analysis and require the ability to work across different groups and workstreams to support timely project delivery. The roles will support either the Program Delivery or Data and Analytics teams within Climate Health Victoria to deliver of carbon accounting, climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
As Project Officers, you will be required to provide specialist advice on climate change and environmental management matters; source, analyse and interrogate data; effectively liaise with health services environmental coordinators; respond to queries in a timely manner; liaise with internal divisions/agencies on environmental and climate related issues and support the implementation and monitoring of the health sector's environmental reporting requirements, the Health and Human Services Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan and emission reduction programs.

Verbal and Written Communication - Confidently conveys information in a simple, clear, concise and interesting way; clearly understands the target audience and the objectives of the communication; uses audience feedback to refine communication and ensure communications are understood; handles difficult and sensitive communications well.
Self - Management - Plans and prioritises work to ensure outcomes are achieved, tests ideas and issues with manager, uses strengths to contribute constructively and consciously manages the impact of own weaknesses, anticipates own reactions to situations and prepares accordingly.

Qualifications and Specialist Expertise A tertiary qualification in climate science, environmental science, or similar would be highly regarded.High level skills in Microsoft skills.
