Project Officer – Sustainable Agriculture Multiple Roles Graduate through to Senior Project Officer Project Delivery – your impact We are seeking engaging and motivated project officers to work with landholders and land managers to improve the productivity and profitability of our regional agriculture industry.
In this role, you'll work closely with landholders to develop property plans that enhance land conditions and boost water quality outcomes.
You'll provide hands-on extension services and technical expertise to agricultural landholders, playing a vital role in supporting Reef Catchments programs.
You'll engage with landholders to promote Sustainable Agriculture, fostering positive change for the environment and community.
Position Overview We have several roles in grazing, sugarcane, and water quality improvement.

You'll play a key part in improving our region's natural resources and environment by fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and landholders, and advancing sustainable agriculture projects.

Position relationships – Who you will be working with These roles within the Sustainable Agriculture team report to the Manager – Sustainable Agriculture.
The team comprises a Principal Project Officer, Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator and Graduate Project Officer.
You will also work closely with our Waterways and other Reef Catchments teams to deliver projects and cultivate stakeholder relationships.

Tell us about yourself • Qualifications in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Applied Science or Natural Resource Management or equivalent relevant work experience and vocational or industry education/training.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills as they relate to building strong relationships, partnerships and networks with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in project management, including monitoring milestones, deliverables and budgets.
• Understanding or experience of best practice management in either Grazing or Sugarcane.
Knowledge of land and pasture conditions and/or biodiversity monitoring methods would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Event organisation experience (e.g.
meetings, workshops, field days).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and relevant legislative Acts in professional practice.
• Blue Card - Working with children (or ability to obtain).
