The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is currently seeking expressions of interest for a secondment opportunity to backfill a Project Officer (Parental Leave) role . The Project Officer will join our Member Services Team supporting the Manager, Child Protection Services, in developing and implementing targeted initiatives related to service delivery in the community-controlled child protection sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QATSICPP member organisation to participate in a secondment opportunity for their staff member. Your employee will gain four months of professional experience working within a peak organisation. This is a fixed-term, full-time parental leave backfill position.
The salary package includes a base salary of $95,000 (pro-rata) plus superannuation, salary packaging benefits, and flexible work from home options . It would be ideal to have a Brisbane based worker however, we are happy to consider a remote work model or relocation package.

Project Officer This role focuses on active engagement with our member organisations and supporting effective communication between QATSICPP members and their key stakeholders. A typical day may include facilitating a workshop or liaising with stakeholders regarding program delivery.
Duties and responsibilities: Build strong, effective, and engaging relationships with key stakeholders, including QATSICPP member organisations and the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services. Development of and contribution to culturally appropriate implementation plans, briefings, presentations, strategies, frameworks, and projects. Ensure the Family Participation Program (FPP) and Family Wellbeing Services (FWS) continue to operate effectively and efficiently. Other tasks as directed by the QATSICPP Member Services Director and CEO. Desired skills, experience, and capabilities: Project or Program Management experience Effective communication and organisational skills Develops innovative and effective work practices and strives for continuous improvement Displays a positive attitude and commitment to excellence, strong culture, and performance Knowledge of FPP, FWS, and Child safety legislation is desirable. However, we are open to upskilling the right applicant Mandatory requirements: A current valid Queensland Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply Driver's Licence Ability to undertake intrastate travel for short periods of time Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work) and/or relevant work experience Job Features Job Category Policy/program/project
