The Resilient Sydney Office is seeking a Project Officer - Resilient Sydney to support implementation of the Resilient Sydney Strategy and activities of the Resilient Sydney Office. This program aims to build the capacity and capability of the 33 councils and other organisations in Greater Sydney, so the city is better placed to survive, adapt and thrive in the face of acute shock events and chronic stresses. The program works with a large network of local governments in NSW, and some international city governments through the global Resilient Cities Network.
The Project Officer is responsible for developing and delivering activities to build the capacity of council officers in Sydney to use the Resilient Sydney Platform, and supporting the Resilient Sydney Office with engagement, administration, contracting and data management.
The successful applicant will be responsible for high quality engagement, project management and relationship management with council officers, external organisations and internal stakeholders by providing quality administration support, technical support, and communications support for engagement, data collection and analysis, contract management, relationship network management and evaluation and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in business, media and communications, social sciences, resilience or sustainability or equivalent, excellent interpersonal skills, including experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders, proven organisation and administration skills including managing databases and dashboards, experience coordinating engagement activities and production of communication materials along with maturity, flexibility, discretion and judgement, and the ability to work under pressure in order to meet conflicting deadlines.
