About Us The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling's largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City's important assets and environmental services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects and programs.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City's sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling's vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods, and thriving communities.
About the Position The City is currently seeking a full-time temporary Project Officer - Parks Capital to play a key role in the planning and delivery of programmes and projects within the Parks and Environment Business Unit. The successful candidate will have a technical background in landscape and/or construction and will utilise their sound project management skills and effective communication skills to deliver capital projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities The duties of the Project Officer – Parks Capital will include but are not limited to:
Coordinate all aspects of capital works projects for the Parks and Sustainability Business Unit.Project manage and supervise contract works, ensuring quality control.Liaise with recreation and sporting clubs, community groups, and residents.About You The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Qualifications in landscape construction, trade/building, or relevant tertiary qualifications.Extensive practical knowledge and experience in landscape or building.Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and MS Project.Excellent project management skills, including problem-solving, time management, and financial management.What We Offer The City offers some great benefits including flexibility in when and where you work to ensure a work-life balance.
