We have an opportunity for a dynamic and professional individual with strong interpersonal skills to join our HCM team as a Project Officer for the One Community Together (OCT) initiative.
OCT is a collective of residents, community groups, and organizations in Clarence Plains, dedicated to fostering strong community connections.
This role will work within the backbone service of OCT to support the vision and strategy of the program as determined by the Executive/Community.
Reporting to the Family Services Program Manager, you will : • Manage logistics for meetings and events, including planning, scheduling, and catering
• Develop agendas, send invitations, and maintain attendee lists
• Take minutes and follow up on action items
• Collect feedback from events/activities and keep a record of all data collected
• Support the community engagement and manage OCT social media
• Ensure compliance with OCT policies and liaise with partners on event responsibilities regarding insurance, risk assessments and volunteer inductions
To be successful, you will demonstrate the following: • Relevant administrative qualifications/experience
• Relevant Community Development experience (preferred)
• Relevant knowledge of Microsoft office products (work/excel/outlook)
• Excellent administrative and attention to detail skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Excellent written communication/reporting/email skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, building positive relationships across the organisation and community
• High levels of professionalism, honesty and integrity
• Ability to work positively with HCM values
• Ability to work in a team environment, contributing to wider organizational needs/projects when required
• Current Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
• Current police check (less than 6 months old) and Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration
• Completed or willing to complete Child Safe Modules
